Stay in Touch

Hey ya'll,

Just wanted to make you staffers aware of a great opportunity. The Kanakuk computer department has been working hard to make sure we have the resources we need to be able to keep in contact with our kiddos from this summer. I have attached the link to our site that will help you access your kampers info and be able to communicate with them. I want to highly encourage you to do this. I am sure that we can all remember someone who made a significant impact in our life by investing time into us and being an example in our life. Will you take a moment today to contact some of your kampers? You never know what mark you might leave on their life.

Hope in spite of circumstances!

Well, as we all awoke today to the television anchors scrambling trying to find the latest numbers and trying to bring clarity to all the confusion, I rested easy. You see our hope does not come from a 401K or an IRA. My peace doesn't come from my bank account balance. Our faith isn't based solely on the good times. If you remember when Jesus called the disciples he said simply "Come, follow me." He didn't mention to them to get their backpacks, or check on there affairs. He simply stated "come, follow me." He never promised that it would be easy and He didn't try to explain it. He wanted the disciples and He wants us to follow after Him. I was reading a great book today and it put is so concisely. Our character is developed by devotion to Him. If you are hurting or suffering today I ask that you simply read James 1:1-4 and embrace the promise that we are being tested so that our joy may be made complete. May our joy be made complete today!

Ode th the Dock Daddies

Ya'll,
I was just remembering the other day how fun it was to be on the lake and messing around. I found this video that was a tribute to our men of the dock that I thought might be a fun journey down memory lane. Today is a tribute to Brad Mooney (aka, moondog), Charles Admire (aka, chuck), and John Barrett (aka, JB). Enjoy!

Hey ya'll,
Just reminded today as I had my quiet time how rich the grace of God truly is. I was spending some time with students today and was reminded what a treat it is that we have the revlation of God in the form of the Bible. As you look at the news you see that people are in more need of the HOPE that is offered through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ then ever before. I hope that you are encouraged today to go spend time with the Savior that loves you so much that He died for your and my sins.
